Feakin Bridge Technical Information
BRIDGE OVERVIEW
When our clients contact us enquiring after a heavy capacity access bridge we recommend our Feakin design. It is one of our most popular designs as it covers a lot of bridge requirements i.e. capacity, span, width, aesthetics and price.
Feakin bridges are available within the following dimensions:
• Maximum span – 16.5 metres
• Maximum internal width – 3.5m
• Maximum capacity – 80 tonnes
Feakin bridges are fabricated as one section this is for a few reasons, including the allowance of speedy manufacture, quick and easy loading / unloading and transport to site and most importantly rapid installation, as the bridge is in one section it can be put into position with one lift using the designated crane or similar machine.
Feakin bridges have been installed in a variety of locations (Hotels, Golf Courses, and Country Estates) and for a number of uses, however the most popular applications are within the following industries:
• Construction – temporary access to site etc
• Quarry – to carry fully laden trucks
• Agriculture – heavy machinery and livestock
• Forestry – timber harvest
